Werkstoff 1.4544, 1.4546, 1.4550, 1.5446 is a AISI 347H equivalent austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel grade with titanium and niobium addition which is steel resistant to inter-granular corrosion in a heat treated state and after a sensitizing heat treatment. 1.4544 is less aggressive sea atmosphere. Stainless 347 is particularly useful in applications with intermittent heating in the range 400–900 °C/750–1650 °F. UNS S34709 can be welded in all dimensions without becoming susceptible to inter-granular corrosion.
